NUBA — Healthy, Fresh Lebanese
Nuba offers Lebanese food — which considered as one of the world's healthiest cuisines — combines the authenticity of European cuisines with fresh ingredients from Middle and Far East. Even though it's a vegan restaurant, Nuba also serve meat — it's halal, non-medicated, and hormone free. Food and beverages are made on the day, never refrigerated because they want to give their customers the best quality, and Nuba's recipes have been passed down through generations — with a bit of modification. Nuba has four locations throughout Vancouver: Gastown, Mount Pleasant, Kitsilano, and Yaletown. Each location have differences on the menu because it is run by an independent management team.
The must order food is their La Feast. It's a two course vegetarian mezze sampler including Le Petite Feast, fatoush salad, Najib's special (crispy cauliflower tossed with lemon and sea salt, served with tahini), falafel, mjadra, vegan stew, macedonian feta, and marinated olives. Everything that's good is basically on that platter. My favourite from the platter is the Najib's special. It's not just regular cauliflower, it's CRISPY cauliflower and it's mouthwatering.
