Couturist isn't actually a Korean retail store because most of the goods they are selling are from the States — to be exact, Los Angeles. Nevertheless, its clothing style selections are very Korean. Their garments have plenty of pretty details with charming tones of colours — not boring, even the neutrals.

It's a small boutiquey store located in Robson, next to Starbucks. It's a bit hard to locate since the store is small but you can just spot it right away if you look for their black canopy with Couturist label on it. The place isn't spacious but there are lots of gorgeous options — ranging from S to XL, and one size. Last month (on February), they recently opened their new store in Metropolis at Metrotown. The space is much bigger than the Robson one but the vibe is the same. The customer service is outstanding for both stores. The staff are very polite and welcoming, they help you finding the style that you're looking for and setting up the fitting room, and tell you about the promotion that they have. Once I was there holding a shopping bag from other store, a girl that work there asked me if I want to put my stuff at the front desk so it would be easier for me to shop around, which made me happy and satisfied.
I bought five items that day — an oversized blazer in camel with four gold buttons, oversized denim jacket with two tweed pockets, white t-shirt with moon and sun drawing on the bust, mini leather skirt in guacamole, and flare dusty pink culottes. And I love each and everyone of them. Usually if I bought a lot of stuff, I return some of them because when I got home I don't like it anymore. But Couturist pieces are just fabulous.
